?What is the Prepaid MasterCard?

It's a prepaid reloadable card which is available in Sterling, US dollars or Euro. The Prepaid MasterCard is neither a credit, charge or debit card.

?Do I need a good credit rating in order to apply for a Prepaid MasterCard?

No. The Prepaid MasterCard is not a credit card and is not linked to your bank account and so no credit checks are required before issuing the card.

?What can I use my Prepaid MasterCard for?

Suitable for businesses and individuals alike, this handy card can be used for:

Wages – you can choose to be paid onto your card or if you're an employer you can pay your staff straight onto their cards
Travel – much safer than travellers' cheques and cash when you're abroad

?Where can I use it?

?How do I load money onto my card?

To make things easy, we offer a variety of ways to load money onto your card including:

?How long does it take for top-up funds to be available on the card?

Once we have received your cleared funds, your card will be loaded in 4 to 6 hours.

?Do I have to sign an agreement or accept any terms and conditions before getting a Prepaid MasterCard?

Like all financial products, you have to read and accept the terms and conditions of the card programme. These terms and conditions are approved by the issuing bank.

?What do I have to do when I get my card?

When you receive your card a member of our customer service team will call you to instruct you how to retrieve your PIN and provide you with details on how to load your card.

?Do I need a PIN number to use my card?

Yes. Once your card arrives or you have activated your card online you will receive a call from our customer service team providing instructions on how to retrieve your PIN and how to load your card successfully. The PIN enables you to use your card at ATM's and point-of-sale locations worldwide.

?Is there a limit to how many cards I can have?

No, there is no limit and you can have more than one Prepaid MasterCard. For example, if you already have a card but next year you are going to a different country you can buy another Prepaid MasterCard in the currency that you need it and keep the current one. For each Prepaid MasterCard you must apply separately as each card is treated separately.

?How do I check my balance?

You can check your transactions and account balance 24/7 - 365 days of the year through your online account

?Where can I use my Prepaid MasterCard abroad?

Cardholder's can use their cards to make purchases of products, goods and services at any location that accepts MasterCard. Prepaid MasterCards are accepted at over 25 million locations and over 1 million ATM locations worldwide. You can also use your card online wherever the MasterCard symbol is displayed. Please note that when you use your card in any other currency other than that of the card international rates will apply.

?When does my Prepaid MasterCard expire?

Your Prepaid MasterCard is valid for 24 months. After it expires you'll no longer be able to use it. You can transfer any remaining balance onto a new card or you can opt to receive the money and close the account.

?What do I do if I lose my card?

If you lose your Prepaid MasterCard, you must call one of the numbers below and request a new card. We'll cancel your card and send you a replacement which may be subject to a fee. The contact numbers are as follows:

?Can I earn interest on the balance of my Prepaid MasterCard?

No, you cannot earn any interest on the balance of funds on your card and you won't incur any interest on your spending.
